Sam

Oops,  I hit the enter key and it left a comment, with no comment,  LOL.  This post of yours from a while back caught my eye.  My biggest problem with commenting a lot is time,  or lack of it.  And many of my posts are pretty "heavy" and meant to have some impact on the reader,  so they take a lot of work,  and then I am exhausted and/or out of time.  But I know I should do better,  and I will try to!  Thanks and..... Cheers

I read many of you every day, but am missing that 'time' thingie to comment on all of you. BTW - was thinking lots about you tonight. My son is in Japan, and I was sending him the play by play as you did for me the year I was there during the playoffs - for which I will be forever grateful, Coach!

My problem is lack of time. I always comment when I have to time to do so  sorry if I don't do it more often.

Better late than never

I think.

Well, after all, I guess it's about time for me to pay you back. I mean Qui por quo. You left me a comment or two, and I'd better make it up to you. So, here's a comment from me.

Actually, I've noticed something like you between the comments I've received. I don't know if the commentors are the only people who read my stuff, but again.

I look forward to read some more of your entries.

Sometimes I simply don't have the time and/or energy to read and comment, or I have nothing to say. I leave a calling card sometimes, if the writer allows for it.

I go back to blogs over and over that have offered excellence of writing, interesting variety and style, that show depth of heart and awareness.

I don't bother with ones that don't bother to edit what they write even a little. I prefer the more serious writers who observe the courtesies, and are considerate of their readers. There are exceptions, where the writer's style may be unusual, and their content is worth the work of reading.

I am aware that when I don't read many writers, each of them that I do gets a bigger share of my $10 worth of pennies. In fact, I maintain the 5 blogs so I have that many pennies to share. I do make a point of visiting bloggers who have visited me, and leave a calling card or comment, at least a time or two, and some get added to my favorites so I won't forget to go back.

A good post.  Remember when blogit members used to post their lists of how many people they had read how many times?  LOL.  I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

lol sam....I know what you mean. Though there are those who visit but don't comment so you don't who it is. So if I don't have much to say I just leave a emoticon

Things sure have changed from back in the day!  Things on blogit are much slower now.  Sometimes I will read a post and don't have anything to say.  Sometimes I'm multitasking and may forget to comment.  I'm not really here for the clicks that much anymore.  I'm here for my own sanity.  lol

I know exactly what you are talking about.  Few dont see your blogs so they dont read them.  Some how they need to be more visible so those that once read us will return.

Well, I for one was away for a bit...But my own readership has shrunk to a level of near-invisibility - I guess I'm too 'controversial' for most, LOL...

I don't know the answer to that but sure, I've noticed it. I can only wonder, dear sam.

I try to always welcome new folks and explain the rules. very few stay because they seem uninterested in others. I do know that there are people who read only. They never comment. This is my communication with the outside World and I really do love my friends here. Hugs My Sam I am.

I don't consciously play the click for click game.  If I like a blogger, I read them.  And I try to read others at random too.  Back in the hayday, it used to matter alot more than I think it does now.

I do wonder why certain bloggers (who will remain nameless... haha) seem to never read me, or perhaps they just don't comment.  I will admit, after a couple weeks of never seeing them on my blog, I stopped reading theirs.  Can only give so much time and I'd at least like to spend it reading what my blogger friends are writing!

I have noticed that as well. Compared to the way things were in 2014, when I felt Blogit bottomed out with members, we have a fair amount of people posting, many of whom are not commenting.

My commenting policy is to comment on anyone who leaves a calling card or comment within two days. As for the rest, I base that off of how many hits I get. If I get 10 hits, I will read 10 non-commenters.
