Your comment reminded me of when I got my divorce. I was adviced to look forward and never look back. It is easier said than done, but it can be done. I did it!

It is indeed important to move on. Regrets do nobody any good. Someone could have been a drinker and pushed their grandchild. Then they realize they need help. They may say" I will never drink again because I will remember pushing you and I will never drink again.I saw this on a 'Seventh Heaven.'
