The nice weather comes and goes, but being here is very satisfying!

Re: Pat,
It does have a certain home-feel to it, this English countryside. AndI am hoping that there will be actual giggles before I go home again!

Re: Kabu,
She is full of smiles, looking around and noticing things, fascinated now and then though we can't always identify what she is gazing at. The colic seems to be passing--so to speak--and when she fusses now, she has a wider 'vocabulary' of sounds. Also, something she sees sometimes distracts her from whatever is making her fuss.
She has come a long way in a month and a half!

Re: Annicita,
I did look up the biographical material and didn't find that, though his English contemporaries might have had that impression of him. The Japanese shoguns he served seemed to honor him.

It sounds like jolly old England is a familiar neighborhood for
our dear Ciel - and that baby! I don't think there's anything in this world that makes me giggle and bloom like sharing a laugh with a delighted little kid.

hug that baby Elsa for me. Those first three months are such a shock. One waits nine months to hold this precious scrap only to find it is more hard work than anything else but comes the time when it is pretty wonderful.

I loved Shogun! Do you know that in actuality he was thought to be an blathering idiot not someone they turned into a gentleman?
Stay warm and safe...be careful as you enjoy the countryside and your visit.
