It is impressive as to what science can find out. Whatever is left of an animal can tell us the story.

It is always interesting/fun to study Neanderthals and what new findings have come about from new scientific studies. Thanks for sharing this.

I think it really needs more than the old shaggy toothbrush Naut. The Interdental Brush is more useful I feel. One can brush and still leave half of ones breakfast between the teeth. The price of dental care these days might well support this minor expense.. Of course we stick people always used to use a willow twig a dual purpose instrument . I know a chap who has cemented his teeth into one solid block. Of course science is wonderful and really interesting and I suppose if one were living at the time plaque teeth would be accepted by most females.

One of my favorite areas of study, Neanderthals and Denisovans - guess that's two. LOL! Fascinating post here. Who'd a-thunk? Toothpicks, calculus, and a meal that ain't all that bad (combining the Belgians and the Spanish); lamb with pine nuts and mushrooms, veggies, just needed an adult beverage there! And yes, DNA says I do have a high percentage of Neanderthal and Denisovan! Hah! They're still here...

Naut...
Science is seeming to show more and more evidence that there was quite a lot of hanky panky between the cousin spieces...and the tooth pick and Asprin is new to me. Thanks I just love prehistory but missed this article.
I suppose it would be difficult to resist this guy...for some gals.
