Well I think people accept the difference here Sam. Perhaps not where total areas have been taken over by a different race, but only yesterday there was a Photo of a black lady representing the Queen. She really looked superb.

A very well written and important post to read My Sam I am. Well done. We really are a tribal species. Y' know if persom A is at all different to person B at best A can't be bothered, at worst A will speak and act hate. No wonder there are wars. I am sending you smiles and loving thoughts and also for your SIL who appears to be one of the best men your daughter could have ever met and married.

This is a very sad and complex situation which our country created over the two decades or more. It's not rational to think we can solve it in two minutes.

It saddens me how people who are here legally are being harrassed. I believe that there are some who are using illegals to try to push their racist views to try to get rid of those who are here legally. Hopefully, that is addressed.

my son in law is Mexican and born in Mexico, his mother was visiting her family in Mexico when he was born. The other two children were born in the USA and are citizens. I dont like the way they are handling the deportation and the cruelty of it. A man was taking from his chldren and he had a work permit to be here but unfortunatley he had a driving vilolation and was deported. Now they are talking about people that come here illlegally with children they are going to take the children away and deport the parent and put kids in homes.

It's not so much that the US is "white," but that more so that many are ignorant - even "whites" among "whites." But you are right, we should transcend color barriers and focus on who is inside of that skin. In high school we had moved to a town that had an Hispanic population, and some of the students there would pop off speaking Spanish to my sister, thinking she was Mexican, based on her skin and hair color! She knew no Spanish, and we are not Hispanic.
