Such good story telling!!!   Somebody before me commented that, but it bears repeating.

Are you okay, Pat_B? I came back in looking for Part 3, and now I'm worried....

That's a long time to endure bullying. I am sorry for you and your family. It's finally happened; "they" are starting to recognize the horror of it, and beginning to try to end if for everyone. A good story, but it must be painful to tell.

Finally people are speaking out against bullying whether from the parent or a child...no one should have to endure this....I am so sorry you and your siblings did.

I love the way you describe people, places and events.  I didn't have to deal with bullies for the most part, though once a girl ran up behind me and hit me in the head with her lunchbox.  With blood running down my face I ran crying to mom who was good with first aid (no stitches).

Re: -blackcat

Yes, it is autobiographical. Some of the flavor of the Salkum years is in "Bloody Hell and a Slice of Pie" that came out last Oct., Bloody Hell is a novel about my mother's life and afterlife, and pioneer times, etc...

Well it was really awful for you Pat. One would have thought other folk would have taken notice.

Pat

I took a quick trip again! The country around there is very attractive, and the village itself doesn't seem to have changed much...But that the bullying was allowed to go on for three years is terrrible...

Such good storytelling... is this autobiographical?  The scenery was set so well that my mind drifted right into a scene from Stand by Me, which is odd because I don't even remember that movie.  And the cliffhanger!   Can't wait to see what happens... :)
