I can remember back to 2 I am sure. I remember my maternal Grandmother, a little old lady in a whell chair who looked like an ugly skinny bird to me. I remember when she was dying the adults wouldn't let us little ones in the house and after she died and they must have been cleaning her room out I remember mother and an aunt moving a wardrobe and feeling full of glee to be allowed back inside the house.I kneww the old lady in the chair was gone but didn't care. I was inside with my mummy.

I remember having a tricycle and having a high board fence alongside

our driveway - through the cracks I could see the little boy who lived next door. I remember when I was 5 and Mama brought baby Jim home from the hospital. My sister and I sat in the middle of the bed, on a hand-made quilt made of dark squares of fabric, and Mom placed him in my arms. He was the most beautiful baby that ever was.

I remember much at 3 and before. Shopping with my grandmother. Going for ice cream in the snow. The house packed up, empty of furniture, suitcases on the wood floors, before we moved West. You make me want to write about all of the those memories in detail. Thank you, Ciel.
