That is great about the Academy Award. I myself did not watch it. I am not into award shows. See one and I feel I have seen them all...Scrabble does sound like fun.

And now that it's morning and, I hope, you're feeling great, let me congratulate Jarod through you for his achievement! I didn't watch the Oscars, haven't for years now, but realize that sometimes there's real talent on display...And I haven't played Scrabble for years either. Maybe Blogit should have a Scrabble section, as well as a Chess section of course...

Germs and threats of bedbugs have kept me away from theater seats for a long, long time.  I wish I could remember the last movie I saw at a theater.

I haven't been to a movie in a theatre for a good 5 or 6 years,

so none of the Oscar buzz means much to me, but I'm glad your Jarod was a winner. The thing about these big award shows is how "boilerplate" they are. I guess that's why everyone makes a fuss when some winner gets political or controversial in their acceptance. I always loved movies, but theatre seats are a long way from the ladies' room these days.
