- Go to SATURDAY: DAY 10 OF THE 8-DAY COLD
Mucinex doesn't help with making one drowsy, but it sure can help move a stubborn cough and reduce the exertions of coughing.
I hope you get over yours soon! I send a big, warm hug full of sunshine...!

All that sounds pretty awful. Thinking about it I suddenly recall another one of Mom's remedies that seemed to help - she sometimes had me inhale the steam of a eucalyptus infusion, though I have no idea how she made that...

As you say, you should be up and at'um full of energy and doing your busy things. I really hate it that you are sick and so miserable. Please take care of yourself.

I expect the steroids will haul you back Pat. I am down to three a day it is a low dose but it just keeps me going, I shall gradually reduce. I would avoid the dairy products for sure.

bed sounds like the best place for a girlie who had such a terrible night. Ok...no dairy yet obviously, and no lying flat when in bed. extra pillow or two is a must. I have had a tiny sniffle and those wet pants are the most uncomfortable part but not life threatening. keep your bedroom warm and remember you need rest, fluids and that extra pillow.
