I know what you mean about insurance. For me, it would have to be something gargantuan for me to put in a claim.

there was a windsheild company that stopped by my house and had a treatment they wanted me to try on my windshield and it wouldnt cost me anything and the insurance would cover it. So there is nothing wrong with free but it was just a treatment that is suppose to keep the sun from shining so much etc and so far I havent seen anything different. But free is free.

Re: sam444
Just a fortnight ago I got my car repaired, dent, paint and all ... but they cleared the claim which came to Rs. 22000, of which I had to pay Rs. 8000. That too I felt was quite expensive.

Wow - they cost around 250$ here. Need to have mine replaced too. Maybe I should do a drive by in Idaho?

Oh yes, one has to watch the insurance claims. We had a valid one at the last house, and it was big-time money they paid. They then slapped a penalty in the form of a $5,000 deductible for water damage for 5 years, which finally goes away in March. So I am holding my breath for this next storm coming this weekend. Good luck with the winds and I hope your house and truck hold up. Mine, too!

I agree if it isn't going to over cost leave the insurance for when you really need it. We had water in the basement a few years ago and I was so glad to have Wiley My Sam I am. The cleaners and repairs were not to our satisfaction and took 2 pieces of furniture that had nothing wrong with them. I myself had put them up high sooo Wiley got the cash once the place had been dried out and we got our own people in. The basement looks rather nice now.
