Fruit smoothies and blueberry pancakes my favourite

Oatmeal with blueberries & walnuts is touted as a superfood.

I actually like a few hashbrowns, a scrambled egg and a slice of Spam - sometimes I chop up the spam with the potatoes & onions, make them the base for a scrambled egg with grated cheese melted on top, garnished with salsa.  I call it a western nest egg.

The best breakfast I can ever remember having was in the mountains of Spain a hundred miles or so north of Madrid.  I've never been able to exactly duplicate it even with searched out Spanish cheeses and meats.  It was right down my alley.  I ate exactly the same thing for a week and never tired of it.

My breakfast used to be black coffee no sweetener and a cigarette or two...i gave up smoking about 11 years ago so now it is  black coffee no sweetener and my daily dose of medication.

Ciel

Ciel, I could do an entire blog about breakfasts in my family! It's so out there and varied. One fond memory I have is on weekends my dad would make breakfast. He'd ask 5 year-old me what kind of eggie I wanted; scramblie-amblie, sunny-side-up, over-easy, etc. I would usually choose one the scramblie.

Re: FormerStudentIntern,

How many different cereals do you switch around to?

I myself had Cinamon Toast Crunch today. I eat cereal every day. I change cereals when a sports team of mine loses. That keeps things fresh.

Re: Annicita,

That sounds good! I like the falafel breakfast, too. I'd break it up into the eggs and vegies, maybe put some tzadziki sauce over. Eggs make it breakfast. :)

I had dolmas this morning.
