Things are never dull when family is around. I always knew sparks were going to fly when my father and his sister, my aunt, were around one another.

Sad and hard; I am going through something similar with my mother..
Love doesn't cure all in these situations, unfortunately. One has to stand their ground as an adult and not allow drama and overly wound emotion to overwhelm...somehow...
I wish everyone involved the best...

Unless you are specifically asked to be there My Sam I am, I would ensure being terribly busy that day. In fact if it were me I would be saying that there are a couple of girlfriends in Canada you just have to visit. LOL
She does sound like one of those ghastly people who blame everyone in the World before themselves, someone that no one can endure for more than a nnano-minute. Sad really. What a way to live.
