Re:Aba

And a big WOW to you also, dear Aba! Will read you in a bit. Thank you; you read it as it was meant to be read, I believe.

Wow! Dear Presta

'From a bed of midnight darkness she feels his touch/from the mirror of her mind/she sees his deepest dream/from the last beats of her heart,' these lines stood out for me with the opposites of the feeling, so well blended

Re: patmore

Oh, YES I do! Even on Blogit I have seen coincidences several times. Could there be a pattern or theory to the randomness of coincidence? News flash to Blogitsville, the first (and only) little story I ever submitted was sold to a publisher of - get this - ghost stories! Unfortunately, the company was sold before press time and its format changed, so my piece didn't go anywhere, and I was released from contract. Oh, and it was a true story! And no, I am not a person who believes in ghosts! LOL!

Re: C_C_T

Thank you, CC. That's very insightful. I like what you say about the rosebud. Perhaps one could say in reference to a poem like this, "Ever the rosebud has no thorn."

Re: RPresta

Do you believe in coincidences? Yesterday, I started a short story which has echoes of this poem. Provisional title is The Ghost in the Machine. Will take some time (weeks?) before I'm ready to list it.

A special someone can complete a person. It is so wonderful.

Yes and in such feelings there is more comfort eventually than mere mortality. Even the rose-bud has no thorn. Well reworked.
