Quite good. As in my precious comment, I saw that evil tartoo. One doesn't forget. It sickens me to this day.

He's a natural born writer...your own apple.

And he brought back such memories when I was nursing in the 19190's on a surgical cancer ward. So many of my patients wore those tattoos back then.

one man cried and cried. He said you would hate me if you knew. I held him in my arms and whispered that it was not my place to judge. no one knows what they would do to survive inless they had been there.

He has a knack for writing prose. Very realistic characters.

So much pain to forget, no wonder one tried to seal it away. Some of us still remember the news films and the faces of no hope as the inmates looked through the wire at the first soldiers almost from heaven..

Pat

This is superbly well written! And it affected me personally - it reminds me of the time some years ago when I visited a friend in Munich; one day we drove out to Dachau, not very far away...It was a day of tears...

I see this piece is by Rusty Hughes. If that isn't your pen-name, who is it?

Yes, some of us do need to see it with our own eyes

to break us from the happy pretense that it doesn't exist. We need it to kick us in the butt, we need to lose our lunch money and find that the head of the gang is the highest authority in town.

I hope you are putting this out for more than just us blogiteers to read.

Oh my, so deeply affecting, Pat

I could read again and again and no doubt will. This needs to be published, in my view. It is historic, well written, deeply personal and so very timely...
