Thanks for reminding me , snore, snore, snore. If you snore you can get a little plaster that sticks over the bridge of the nose and increases the air flow.

Thanks Sam. A good many folk here with small gardens use raised beds they are useful if the ground is poor, but as with most things are rather expensive to construct. I do grow carrots in containers, tomatoes and peppers but I always use food safe tubs. There is nothing worse than a butchered tree as you say once it done it's curtains.

Your last my stanza speaks volumes! I saw in a comment that you inqured if I had a garden. I do but it doesn't do well because it doesn't get enough sun! I have a huge poplar in the backyard that blocks the sun for quite a period of time. I have been logging the days and location throughout the summer to determine what limbs I can lop off! It's hard to take limbs off because once they are gone that's it! I can't move the garden because the yard is so small! I have thought about gardening in containers and taking the present garden site and turn it into a huge flower bed. I should know by spring what course of action I will take. sam
