Yes dust is a killer Taps especially as a lot of asbestos was used earlier. If we find a sheet of asbestos it is not allowed to be dumped in landfill. It has to be taken miles away and one is given paper overalls and told to place it in special bins. One man told me that his dad lined the house with asbestos sheets and he ripped it all out. He still would not take a tiny piece that was on my porch roof, so I gave a contractor £50 to put it in his special skip.

It sounds like a very intense job.

That sounds like my kind of day...

house rehab shows are my favorites although they make it look much easier than it is, but the anticipation of the end result is a happy bit of hopeful time, not to mention the great fun of spending the day with a good son... I hope the bee tree is just fine come spring.

It's great Son #3 is making such progress! And I know what you mean when you speak of the mess! A few years ago I helped a friend of mine doing some work on an old house he had bought; and we also wore masks, as the air was heavy with the dust of a hundred years...

Oh, what a wonderful day for you two! They do like to show Mom how they are coming along. And the lunch, great and healthy. Good for you two! I love the idea of a free dump site. No such luck here.

What a great son! I know what you mean on remodeling an older home! My daughter bought an older home and it's nothing but messy on every project! sam

How wonderful to spend time just you and Son # 3. I did enjoy this post. Sometimes I just don't see animals for ages and then next doors will tell me that they are around; but early in the morning.
