we only have each other so we have an old fashioned cell phone in the car for emergency calls and I have a new but cheap thing for Australia...my delight is to see how many texy messages i can send to So #1 before he answers me. Some days he doesn't at all because he knows that I am teasing him. I actually loath modern communication methods except for email, e-cards, and Blogit. Even FB is ruined at present. I am thinking of getting myself a pink pussycat hat. or more likely one for Graysome and take pictures.

Well, I will answer the call even if I am with others, but I tell them I will call them back since I'm busy. Of course I will not haul it out and start texting (which I do rarely anyway)! Basically I feel the damn things, though convenient, have contributed to the sad deterioration of good manners and civility we see everywhere...

Well mine is worse news Pat, I can't find the charger anywhere and I tried to buy another and was told it was out of production. So I can't make a call and I shall lose the credit.
So what's new, good job I have another with a better charging system. I never text on the darn things I really only carry it in case the car breaks down.

I have changed how I act. I no longer text when others are present and say excuse me if I need to take an important call. Otherwise I let it go to voicemail and enjoy interacting with those in my presence.
