A very interesting read, I find this to be. I imagine that Israel is going to be in the news a lot this year.

I think sometimes saying the hard things is more helpful to people
who've been brought up to be "nice" and thoughtful and polite - but who would like to find just one other person who thinks the hard thoughts, too. I like this post, the comments and responses. From my perspective if we're not in writing mode, it's not an issue - something is cooking in the background and when we're ready it will come. Not to worry.

I can't take in some of the things that are in the news today. And I can understand you having times when you don't want to write. I used to be an every day writer, but no more (though I would like to be).

Re: Re: RPresta,
Indeed, this I know. It can be so sometimes. Thank you.

Re: RPresta,
Fiction is a way of telling truth. Sometimes the only way to get truth out of the shadows.

Re: CCT,
I don't blame the parents whose desperation drives their decision making. Here, the evil is on the part of government and hospital workers, and cultural attitudes that they think justifies it.

Re: Kabu,
We are animal and spirit, the ridiculous and sublime rolled into one. The animal fears and defends itself, the spirit rises up towards glory, and the blended creature is torn between one and the other. It shows in its extreme moments, mostly, and the rest of the time we are just getting on with things.
I'm glad you're in the world beside me, affirming flames...

Ciel love we humans are a very flawed species. Almost every cause or action that I have spoken up for, has bitten me on the rear end one way or another. And what can I say when My own Australia has the history of the Stolen Generation where children in the aboriginal settlements were torn from their mother's arms and some were adopted into white families so that they could grow up with White values and others were kept in orphaned schools where they were so often abused in every way possible.
And here in beautiful Canada there were the residential schools which was the exact same scenario as in Australia. There are times when goodness prevails and there are times when evil does.
And if someone doesn't like your writing, then they don't have to read it. The only rules here that I know of are to be civil to each other and not to threaten each other or to be too crude. xx sending hugs.

This is so interesting! I have just read a novel mentioning this sort of thing. Makes one wonder where fact separates from fiction, or vice versa.
