Re: If you feed the cat now and then but not regularly,

I don't think it is a stray Ciel it is just an opportunist but I shall feed it to keep it from taking the birds. There is straw filled box for leisure time.

If you feed the cat now and then but not regularly,

it will not forget how to get its own food.

If it is a stray, making an insulated shelter box for it is a kindness, too.

That poem is right on for the way my Sister Barbara felt when I got married.
She was two years younger than me and we always did things together
and shared a bedroom, books, fun and laughter.
She was my maid of honor in my wedding, and then she was lost
except for my brother and my sis who was five years younger than her.

Re: Sam

When I was a lad I was frozen most days the clothes were not warm like they are today.

Brr' those boots we used to wear with studs in the soles were like miniature refrigerators.

Great poem! I agree we need to stay out of the cold! And, it's going to get bitterly cold in my area next week! sam

Loved the poem. In fact, I was the older sister, so I left first,

married worse, and hers was the one to last. Things have a way of working out to suit themselves. Take care and keep warm, CCT.

C_C_T

Hope it warms up! Nice you mentioned Mom in this poem. It was a thought I didn't have while reading it, until you mentioned it at the end. Very good!
