Imagine that - dreaming of snow on a Florida beach! But I think the geese choose to stay - we have them here also. Some go south, some stay...

Re: Re: RPresta
At least the car ride was nice. You know, I've never owned a toaster oven!!!! You reminded me. Maybe tomorrow baking?

I imagine the geese are used to it and know how to handle it. Otherwise would they stay?

What a grand and so different from ours, a landscape you have. Like your Florida grandchildren, I too would have loved to see the beauty of the scene.

Re: Pat_B
I can't help but feel sorry for the geese here in the winter. They look so forlorn standing around on the cold, cold ice.

Re: CCT
Amazingly I did get it going today. It made me very happy not to have to call for assistance.

I love your red Christmas tree. I think I just might borrow it for other places.

Re: Kabu
I am glad for that too. I do not begrudge anyone a nice covered garage even when I am scraping ice. I got my car started today and took it for a nice run staying on roads that were pretty much cleared of ice. Son #1 was amazed that I got it started without help.

I thought so too. It made me kind of wish that I was down there combing the beach for seashells, watching the sun come up over the ocean. It has been quite some time since I have been there in December.

Re: RPresta
I must admit that I never did get around to baking today. I didn't once get the oven turned on, not even the little toaster oven. But, I did get my car going and went for a nice long drive to get it warmed up and back in action.

I am so glad we have our little car garaged. it is so cold in there that the snow that settled on it several days is still there but at least we don't have to scrape ice.

Well at least you won't go ice skating at present, your poor little car I can feel it groaning from here, I have to keep my battery charged the rescue team won't come unless it is a quarter of a mile from home. Although that reminds me I did not realize my insurance company covers for breakdowns as well. Not much use though.

After a brief warm up, we are back to being cold. The weather cannot make up its mind.

Funny how we are, looking at the other guy's weather and feeling
just a little bit tempted to wish we were there.... Love the pics, the contrast between the sandman Frosty and the poor ducks looking for space to paddle and dive.
