Wow, what a story! I'm glad you were able to speak up to your father at last. Good for you. I guess the police didn't know you were a minor alone in the house when they took your mother in. Today they would not have left you there, so that's one good thing. A sad tale but with a positive ending at long last, I would say.

I cannot imagine how scary that is to have the police there, arresting both parents. That is one of those times where time stands still...That is something how your father blamed you for the party.

Well if my Father had been in the same circumstances I don't think he would have been very calm about it. I don't know why your father blamed you unless your brother made more of a fuss of him than you did.
