'Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely'.... the quote says it all, evil brings its own downfall. A well written piece.

Re: Hi, Aba!
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Comments and fine observations, too, can be as enjoyable as the story-telling itself.

Re: Kabu
you rightly say retribution is deserved. See how man shrugs off responsibility couched in some other external cause, as if diluting his crime. And Shakespesre the master wrote so beautifully, so true to human nature even today.

Evil is everywhere it seems. This was very informative and gave me a new perspective of Macbeth! Hey Bro, it's great your awesome work! Shelly

Hi, Aba!
I greatly enjoyed your telling of MacBeth and Shakespeare's play. I see your point of good vs. evil, how evil can be disguised, obscured by ambition, misperceptions of arrogance justified, aggression, and lastly remorse to the point of insanity, always with the hags in the background - something, in one form or another, that one may hear in today's background in political arenas of the world. :) Considering how Scotland was viewed by the English at the time of the play's writing, is to me, a testament to Shakespeare's gifts. Scottish history is fascinating and makes for a fun read on its own. Glamis Castle has an interesting history and is even said to be haunted to this day by the White Lady in the Gray Lady (maybe she changes clothing, LOL). In legend the Laird plays cards with the Devil himself on the Sabbath! Cawdor Castle is a beauty, but was built after MacBeth's time. I loved it, dear Aba. Thank you. It takes me to Scotland...

probably his greatest play yet not my favorite. here are two characters with so much yet power becomes their God so that via the excuse of the Witches they seem to find excuses for their conduct which eventually brings about their own demise. And I always say you deserved that.
of course although written so long ago it is as modern as today for the Witches so often speak to the rich and powerful so that they are never satisfied.

I would have liked to have Macbeth when I took a Shakespeare course back in college during my sophomore year.
