Re: Uku

And a hi2u2. Nice tats for those who have them. Of course! Some may think bland to the point of boredom... LOL! Vanilla fudge...  I joke, but temper it quite a bit these days.

Re: TAPS

Exactly! Yep! I would just mentally shake my head... Thank you, TAPS! Four boys! Wow, my grandmother had four boys; bless you! And my other grandmother had 10 children!

Nothing regrettable about it! Arrogance is a perfectly suitable defense against stupidity...

Love it.  "....and what do you do?" was asked of me so often even though I had my four little boys in tow.

Re: Kabu

Dear Kabu, indeed we are! You have more than the gift of translating beautiful thoughts into lovely words, you have the ability to convey wonderful feelings to all. You always are so good amongst people, methinks, and a treasure here in Blogitsville.

Seemed to me like you were just working out some troubling thoughts but my mind is a mish mash these days.

We really truly are Soul Sisters, except that you have the gift of puting one's thoughts into fantastic words. I sometimes have to be so good amongst people...

I like the way in which the emotion bleeds through in your poem.

You, upon being asked ... the machine metaphor  ... was bang on sort of repartee, enjoyed, and the imagined expression (physical) too. A very fine poem conveying your experienced emotions in words. You made my day, my dear Presta.

Well I understand it RP , but then I know you are only being witty . I am sure you may have thought it though. Of course now you have discovered mostly your true thoughts, those paper and plastic bags probably take off like white doves and the machine throbs smoothly. Nice ideas, I won't let Chumpet steal them.

Re: UKUSA

Thank you, UKUSA dear, for reading and for your thoughtful comment. I'm not sure I understand what you meant: '...my soul stirs as w R last line.' This can be read figuratively or literally.

posted by Sea_Gypsy on November 27, 2016 at 9:17 PM | link to this | reply

When U & poems reach beyond usual metaphors, my soul stirs as w R last line

I can't say I get it totally, but sometimes parrot phrases in any culture sticks in the craw. They do lose so much meaning ... but poets are necessary rebels to remind us when we are arrogant, or complacent, or cynical. Well-done; I was waiting for U or Shobana to break the holiday drought (CCT has his own cuppa: naughty Poe-T-ry)
