CCT

This is very powerful - like a warning and a cry for help at the same time; and yes - another one for the Collection...

I'm thinking now of that bag of Quikcrete, intended to be poured

into sidewalk cracks in small liquid doses, now hardened by humidity into a useless block.

Re: FS

Cheers FS.  You know how cold it feels.

Those are beautiful flowers there...One can feel the isolation between the two, especially with the symbolism of the "ice world of her window."

Re: UKUSA

Well dear you have a way of blessing most things. Yes we are all subject to fear at times and then hopefully the cry for help is heard.

Re:

Thank you Taps. It was only a poem, there is a little devil in us all.

Re: adnohr

The trouble is adnohr everyone tries to please so damned hard and it becomes a shock when either one does not want to any longer. Years ago it was no different only a married couple could not afford to part company, they rowed and sulked but eventually settled some into a miserable existence or just apathy.Or even an understanding that both could do what they wished. Of course some found Heaven or comfort in their spouse.

Re: Ciel.

Yes my brother sighed in disgust but it was the nearest thing I could see and they were pricking my fingers.

Re: RPresta

Thank you RP . Lucky In had the roses then. Incidentally I have bags of cranberries some are covered in chocolate. I suppose I could use the plain ones for sauce as I don't care for them in the present state, I kept buying them because they were half price, just of amusement really.

Very pretty flowers! The poem makes me think about a relationship going cold and sour as a couple gets old; two people who never should have been together in the first place, although there were tender moments along the way....

Re: shamasehar

The rose tree has survived against all odds it was a tiny thing in a pot I thought it was dying and just pushed it into an odd corner. I will look after it better from now on. Thank you.

Re: Shobana

Thank you I know the rose's beauty is transient, but so are many pleasures.

I loved the roses CC and the poem had a mastery to it. Well done because in its abrasiveness you captured a little of the gentleness.

Lovely roses. Powerful thoughts and images and a title that fits perfectly.

Beautifu, gentle-looking roses that provide a perfect counterpoint to your poem. Well done, indeed.

The roses are sweet, and I love the fancy vase you found for them!

The roses are beautiful, and the poem...well...abrasive.  Well done.

In spite of ourselves, we love things & people who rust! Powerful poem

- introduced with a soft gift of roses. Thanks CCT. Hard, formal upbringing, or betrayal in one's formative years, will turn our insides into hard cement. God's handiwork will assert itself, if given a chance through (either GENERAL revelation, or Special revelation). ShalomShalom for that Peace where fear is killed! Dead!! agape
