I can see that happening as well with most of the world's population being Muslim. And given their inability to want to conquer and spread their faith, I think even the places that even the "islands" of sanity could be in danger.

Well I did see that the Chinese have a very low birthrate which is surprising when one considers that they were restricted to a very low number. I don't think it applies now but large families make one poor and no one desires that, when the need is felt for new innovations.
