Re: Re: Re: RPresta
Good thinking RP, A little reflection sometimes, it is a always how the readers perceive the work. I suppose one cannot please everyone. I just thought I might have imagined the whole thing.

Yes, I pulled it, edited it a bit, and reposted. I don't often do that, but sometimes change my mind.

Yes we do rough carpentering at time Pat. I suppose children are smaller versions of ourselves, hope you feel better. I know you have a lot to put up with lately, it is a tough one.

Re: RPresta
The onions and shallots are for pickling mainly, but I really can't make it out. Folk buy them after about a week and say they are the nicest pickles they have tasted, He says it is his old grannies recipe. They do donate quite a sum to the local Hospice and I think that is the reason they have not been told to close the stall. Yes I remember asking an Aunt of mine different questions ,but she did not know the answers. I remember. Go on tell me did you pull a poem or was I dreaming I usually look at yours and come back later. I pulled one the other day, I hope it is not catching.

good stuff, as always Sir Octogenerion you!
Shalom, shalom I often pray
Wholeness with peace, I meant to say
Instead we opt for the Hebrew
Deeply satisfying, like CC's home brew!

Hope Archie settles down. And that the strawberries are good next year. All those onions and shallots...whatever for? To donate? I read the poem as the little girl's getting a new Mommie...interesting subject for a poem. It is so cute when they ask, ask, ask. And they remember, remember, remember. I loved how my dad was so patient with all of my endless questions. Thanks for the memories, very nice.

Poor wee tyke in the poem. My rugrats are going through the same thing...again...but asking the questions about the new 'Daddy'. Problem is that they are asking their present daddy instead of asking Mommy, because she's rarely around. I think man-o-pause is a real thing, and Archie seems to be in the throes of it.

I have heard of male menopause. I am not sure if it is a real thing or more of a joke...I can picture that conversation happening with the little girl.

It's rare to find a man like your Jack of all trades, what with the
carpentry and the gardening knowledge and all the other things he does. Your poem captures a child's way of thinking so well. ☺
