Re: Re: Re: RPresta,

It has happened, though to little actual effect. It will take more than just a couple of electors voting for America instead of just for their Party. Will it happen? Chances are against it, based on history, but so many of us had never heard of this before now, that it seems a very far out possibility, even though this is exactly the situation it was put in place to correct.

Re: Pat,

He will, with the Republican Congress, sell off public lands--that's our national parks and monuments--to private developers, likely that 1% will be the only ones who can afford to acquire them-- as Paul Ryan has already introduced the bill.

He will appoint far-right Justices to the Supreme Court every chance he has, and the Congress will confirm them without fuss.

I've seen the list of his advisors: Guiliani for Attorney General...? Christie is on that list, too, and other of his ilk.

Since the Republicans still have Senate and House, there is nothing whatever to bring Trump to the middle of the road.

However... "Faithless Electors" are a Constitutional way to save the nation from the disaster that hovers just behind Trump's inauguration.

I feel Kabu hit the nail on the head about Congress.

Powerful and well expressed Realities..

Obamacare will be abolished with nothing in it's place and those who fervently believe the act is the sole cause of soaring insurance premiums and health care costs will be shocked to discover that it is corruption and greed run amok that are the culprits and have been for decades. Probably though the blinded will insist on staying that way and manage to avoid seeing those truths, per usual..

what people don't realize i feel and I am only an outsider, that Sanders or Clinton or Mr president elect have their hands tied so much these days. The real rot to me seems to be your Congress. They just black what the president wants especially when it comes to domestic policy. I wonder how many of them are rich because of lobby groups that own them. To me that is something that is so sad.

And I cannot stand the thought of mining and farming and shooting and trapping of animals and cutting down the trees in all the parks. I won't go there.  Hugs darling.

My hope right now is that much of the flaming rhetoric

and BS was an attempt to make "good TV" and put on a show, and that some of the points of view the president-elect expressed over earlier years are his real views, that he will be more middle-of-the-road than the candidate's persona. Also hope he picks good advisors.

Regardless of outcome, in any presidential election here, I still wonder why the popular vote isn't good enough?
