The 'naming'? It's a symptom, one of many...But I love the poem - you have beautifully captured a moment of the seemingly haphazard stream of consciousness that flows in us all...🙂

Re: Fs

You will have to make up your mind one day FS. Perhaps you will start a new tradition.

Re: Ciel

Something nice about being baptised somehow I feel. That of course is my opinion.

Re: RPresta

Yes RPresta it is fun to get into another being if one can, not always right of course.

I think though women have a better imagination. I suppose anything goes these days sometimes the Church has not been very helpful to non worshippers.

I asked my daughter about what they have planned, especially as there is so much family and all their expectations right nearby. I will mention this to her as none of them are particularly sincerely religious, and her own ideas are more spiritual than religious.  I was thinking a Welcome To The World celebration would be fitting.

I have heard of Naming "Parties" in other societies, but not in the Western civilization that I know. I enjoyed your poem very much. It captured many themes that are unique to women and their feelings, making it a good, fun read.

That sounds like an interesting new tradition to start. It seems like the times are changing...A cute poem that you have written for us.

Re: Kabu

Interesting. I wonder if the parents get to use the name they like most, or if it's the majority wins? Your poems always say so much in so few words.

I've heard of it being done in several tribes  from North America to South America (not sure about other continents) but never in our fast paced society

I've heard of Naming Parties, sometimes the parents also

have a christening, sometimes not. I enjoyed the poem immensely; seems to scratch the surface of everyday life to reveal the deeper thoughts and motivations that live and breathe universally; my take.
