Really great verse, TAPS...

Lovely imagery and sounds.  Being forced by weather or health to stay inside is very much akin to being trapped in a web!

wow Taps this is beautiful, nothing like being amonst God's nature, I love the ending, what a way to describe that feeling of being cooped up inside, beautiful talent you have, may God bless

That is indeed very fine poetry catering to the senses of sight and sound. The evocation is perfectly matched.

I just love the autumn colours.... but we don't get to see them here:( your poem celebrates the season beautifully. Sometimes i too feel the same indoors.

You're an outside girl.

I've just been thinking, I need some wilds to restore what politics

and social interactions and busy-ness have gnawed away of my sense of gladness for the real and natural world.  On the hike in Castlewood Canyon, I heard rustling in the leaf carpet, and suddenly a little critter, maybe a mountain beaver, scuttled across the trail into the leaves on the other side. Too quick to get a picture, but some things it's as well not to capture, but to let the moment come and go and remain in memory, just a touch of sweetness.

You are right of course. One is better off mentally to be out and about...but Oh I love my home.

Quite an enchanting poem, perhaps the thought of you tripping through the woods might be a bit still valid.

One feels so alive when one is out in nature, especially in fall and spring.

Such a waste to be inside when you have all the trimmings of this poem outside. Excellent imagery

I love it! I brightens my morning, and of course it makes me think of my own wanderings in the woods...

That's exactly what October is to me, too. Thanks for this one :)

Love it! I love to be outside, too! Just such a pleasant, upbeat poem. Fun to read.
