I remember exactly where I was when I found out that President Kennedy was shot and then too when Bobby Kennedy was shot. For me it doesn't get worse than that.

Very enjoyable post, Bill; nice seasonal sights and sounds..
I recently started watching reruns of Dark Shadows and love it! 
On the elections, I think there is strong mistrust and lots of anger simmering in a big portion of the electorate at all times but some election cycles feel more likely than others to boil over into violence and chaos. This is one of those times to a deep degree in my opinion.
