I know RP. Now you have made me walk past again. Perhaps it is my punishment.

Re:UKUSA

Thank you dear I will try your honey cure and of course remember to say grace. Yes it is a bit worrying Kabu and or Wiley rarely miss. I would email her, but had better wait a couple of days in case Wiley is not well.

Re:shamasehar

Well I didn't really like the amount of water Kabu suggested hers is well water and that really is sweeter. I was brought up on well water, but we thought later that is might have drained from the cemetery on the nearby hill which was on high ground. Thank you for your kind comment.

Hope some of the suggestions have worked for your cramps and hope you are feeling better. Take care. The poem is a wonderful mix of so many emotions.

I thank you for the Brit way of loving: willing to go slow, accept No, &

"shyness' or modesty adds beauty to this basic and deepest of human emotions. Thanks for writing it just as U have ... perfectly imperfect, like all human loves. By the way, cure for the ankles: teaspoon honey in v. warm water, with two tablespoons of ACV (Apple Cider Vinegar) all through the day. When symptoms decrease, reduce dosage to each major meal. It will work, if younalways say Grace b4 meals.shalom

Re: Taps

The doctors here just look at you and smile if one mentions such a trivial problem. She did say I could take quinine tablets, but they are no longer in the chemists.

Re:

That seems a lot of water Kabu. Are you saying you and our Wiley drink that amount. My water rates were £250 for half a year. I shall have to dig a well.

Re:PAT

Yes I expect if I were to spend £70 and get some tablets it would vanish overnight. I think we all do things we feel could have been resolved better. The trouble is when young one lacks experience.

Re: I've been told being dehydrated can cause cramps; so tip a few more!

Well I think I drink enough tonic water Kat I think that's mainly water. Sadly one is choosy when young.

I myself am not sure of a cure for a cramp. When I get cramps, they go away shortly thereafter...So difficult it is to let go...

Such a lovely poem, a missed opportunity. I guess many have been through that road. Try an ointment CC, maybe it will help with the cramp.

Funny how those silly aches and pains come for no discernable reason,

and go away again we know not why.  I liked your poem, esp. the last stanza. It's good to know I'm not the only one who still wonders about how things didn't work out.

Lots of good advice. I presume that you are taking in your 3 litres of water a day.

posted by Kabu on October 18, 2016 at 12:23 PM | link to this | reply

If you have nocturnal (nighttime) leg cramps, your doctor might prescribe quinine (Qualaquin)-even though the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved it for only one purpose: to treat malaria (although doctors can legally prescribe most medications for any type of treatment they deem appropriate).  I knew a woman who took it for that when needed and it did seem to help.

I was having that cramps problem, feet and lower legs mostly. Doc told me to take CoQ 10 which as we get older, our bodies don't produce in sufficient quantities. It's needed even more if you are taking statins for cholestrol management. It does seem to be helping.
