We too are having 'strange' weather, LOL. Yesterday chilly rain, today 25C (77F) and strong winds, but I see clouds on the horizon to the west...And polka-dot shirts? Not on this man, LOL...

growing up on a Peninsular there was always a wind so one went out wearing a gossimer type cap that tied under the chin and took it off insdie. looked hidious. Then came hairspray so if the wind was strong one's whole stiff hair stood up every way. Now i don't care too much. The best of fall is already blown in the wind up here.

There has probably never been a time when I was perfectly coiffed
but a few times leaving the beauty shop after a do it looked pretty good. These days my hair is frazzled from the bad perm I got a few months back and two seconds out the front door it's flying Einstein-style, except on me it doesn't look good. This record heat in mid October is discombobulating.

At least you were perfectly coiffed before leaving. I hope you did okay in the heat. We have here the Santa Ana winds; like the Scirocco, hot and dry, bringing hot weather & fire hazards. Should be high 90s Wednesday. Rained today. Yep. And polka dots! I have seen that on ties men wear; seems unusual the way you describe it. I have never seen a guy wearing a dotted shirt!
