Life is confusing and confounding enough without practical jokers
coming around to just mess with people's heads and hearts. And someone always has to clean up the mess. I remember when some kids came around and soaped our windows, and resent to this day my father telling my sister and me that we had to clean up the mess 'our friends' had made. It was bad enough to have to do the cleanup, but to be blamed for it, when those kids were in no way friends of ours, really hurt.

How absolutely awful and cruel; what is wrong with people who think
these kind of things are amusing or enjoyable?! 
I have fun with a little bit of spooky stuff for Halloween, such as hearing about or watching shows about haunted houses and spirit visitations and mythological darkness or monsters like vampires, were-wolfs, etc. but I want nothing to do with glorifying or making true crime events into entertainment.

Nowadays, it seems like trolls are finding a new way to act, by creating hoaxes that seem possibly real, to incite the masses.
That is the definitely most poor in taste hoax I have heard of.

Even though I knew nothing about this, it sickens and offends me. I thought Halloween was about candy and fun for kids. I just don't get all this dark stuff and this shows there is no depth to the evil people are prepared to go to. I am sorry that this ruined your day. sending you hugs.

Some immature small minded people think cruel pranks are funny.
Since the rain falls on the just and the unjust, it's only a matter of time until the joke's on them, although I'm finally getting to the point where I take little satisfaction in the natural karmic results of such.

There's no difference TAPS, they are all classified as "criminals" - none of those crimes listed there are "small" to just be taken lightly. Anyway there are sadists out there who think hoax like these are funny!

A hoax - but in very bad taste. I knew absolutely nothing about this man and had to read up on him. I found out that back in 2004 a filmmaker by the name of Ben Meade made a movie about Berdella, called Bizarre Bazaar. It too annoyed a lot of people in K.C. The sister of one of Berdella's victims even threatened to send her mob friends after Meade...
