Naut

Of course you are right there Naut - the "ordinary" people who contribute to these problems are all over the world and its about time they wake up to realization I think. Thanks so much.

UKUSA

Yes you are right, I suppose God's plans are different for each one of us - he's laid us all out in the palm of his hands. Thank you very much for your kind comment and revelation.

TAPS

That's such a powerful way of summarizing this poem and I loved how "fair is a human concept". God I think wanted us humans to understand justice first before we learned what being fair is all about. Thank you.

Way Shobs

This is just beautiful, so very honest and soul-searching. I notice also the change in your feelings since when you used to write last more romantic ones.

A lot of intense thinking, questioning, searching for answers.  Your poem speaks of the thoughts and questions of people all over the world.  God's promises are for all who believe and trust in him, but one thing he never promised to anyone is fairness.  Fair is a human concept.  God is just, God is merciful, God is love, but fairness is what humans want because they can understand that.  We must get beyond that and trust God on his level.

God is pleased when you ask such questions; Job did, but never cursed God,

only himself. His friends said his suffering & loss of ten children was due to secret sins. They were wrong; Job's suffering was for the Glory of God, as is Jesus' blood shed at Calvary. But the fact poor people get horrible deals in life,  bothers all of us who love God and His creation. I will pray that the painwill go away ... as FAITH feeds on your questions. Moses, Abraham, Joseph sent to Egypt a slave was sold by his brothers ... really painful! But it accrued to Gid glory & unfolding plan of Salvation for me/U/US. Ruth is Jesus' ancestor, but she was a Moabite (descended from Lot's daughters making him drunk so he'd father their babies). Complex plan of God, where all sinners are equal: the incestuosu one is as bad as the liar, thief, murderer. amen

It is something that many of us have wondered at one time or the other, and world events are leading to that being asked more, I imagine...My belief is that things will make sense in the future at some point.

So sorry to hear that you feel this has happened Shobana. I hope writing this poem has eased your pain. It is a good example of what many may think who are unfortunate. Sadly I don't know the answer.

Shobana

A cry from the heart...But the blame for the problems of this world should not be placed merely on the 'Mighty'! In our part of the world, in the 'democracies', 'ordinary' people are contributing to these problems as well, many without even realizing it...

Excellent poem. Not all have sold out, one would hope. I like to think there is still a little good left in the world, as this poem wishes. But so much is wrong. Well stated and lovely.
