Gypsy's are quite interesting and as you say they have lots of stories on them. Good poem CC and I laughed at the birthday card!

Re: C_C_T
Yes a gypsy tried to tell my fortune, I refused. She said 'fancy a grown man afraid to be told his fortune.' Perhaps I should have consented, it might have been good news. There again she might have told the truth.

I guess it feels a bit lonesome at times, but it is nice to have a peaceful day .
If I see a group of gypsies I'll send them your way. Save thev turkey bones for Bruno.

Re: Ciel
Yes, Ciel but not very practical on the roads these days. Unless one can park on the kerbside, not many farmers welcome a visit. There were some Irish Gypsies in the carpark here, hanging out washing and such. There were soon some complaints as you might guess.

Re: Pat
Like every thing there is a darker side Pat. Most of the local gypsies have eventually become domesticated. Or have small businesses. One or two call on me occasionally, they have a huge display in the cemetery.

I know that feeling of writing something and continually discarding it because one does not feel it is good enough...She has lived quite the life there rich with experiences.

Silly me, I like a home-made card - something someone put thought into.
Love the poem. I've always thought Gypsies lived a free and romantic lifestyle, although some are suspicious of any strangers.

It's a beautiful poem! I saw a gypsy caravan pulled by a couple of cobs up in Lancashire one day... Once dreamed of touring Ireland in a rented one.

I love the gypsy poem and just be happy that family comes around. Wiley and I have enjoyed our day together but a phone call would have been nice.

And you still love the flowers! Well, Happy Belated Birthday to you! Sounds like someone was a bit cheap with the card... I enjoyed your poem. The Gypsies, one must watch out for them, but if they bless you, 'tis good, they say...
