Taps dear I understand completely, and ain't it the truth. Politics and Religion should never be talked about 'specially around a dinner table. It should be a commandment to never talk either with relatives. You are quite right when you say both the Hurrican and the elections are going to leave dreadful scars in America,

Matthew - raw, untamed Nature! This election? Raw, untamed Nature, LOL...But the political polarization that has caused the passions to the surface did not occur overnight - it's the result of regrettable decisons whose consequences were not foreseen (the notorious 'unintended consequences'), and the reaction to decisions that did have the intended consequences - and people are waking up to them! And also developments that lie outside the political sphere but influence it nonetheless. I feel a lecture coming on, so I'll stop now, LOL...

I like that metaphor of the U.S. Presidential Election to that of a hurricane. Very apt, I feel.

TAPS, you show CHRISTIAN standrads! We ought to be better than our enemies

OR perhaps we mistake political opponents for "enemies." This election is so full of self-told lies: Bill Clinton is NOT running, and he was tried in the Congress for his sins, and they failed to impeach Bill Clinton. But Republicns tried ... even Democrats tried to punish Clinton's sins. They failed in part because African-American voters would not let the country do that to Bill Clinton. Anyway, it is better that we agree with God, not with Democrat or Republican. God wants new,"circumscized" hearts! Thanks TAPS. I was worrying that the blue-eyed boy Trump, has made us all blind hypocrites. God's standards are high; but we respect those values through Jesus & His work.
