Re: Nautikos

Glad you saw it and enjoyed it. Sometimes the most simple things inspired the most complex thought. Hope you are having fun with the cats. Why not ask Aba (he said it's short for the 'cumbersome' abibanerhee). i can ask for you, as the though occurred to me, though the answer might evade me.

RP

How did I miss this? I must have been too busy with my new cats, LOL...Anyway, it's so 'right', and clearly inspires thought, as the previous comments show. I knew the zero is a Vedic invention, but I didn't know they had calculated the Earth's age so accurately! It's astounding, and I wonder if 'Aba' can explain what the assumptions were that went into those calculations...

Re: Re: Aba

The richness of Vedic calculations, done thousands of years ago was surprisingly, so deadly accurate. The age of the Earth, they said, was 4.32 billion years. Modern science says it is 3.98 billion years, a difference of only 34 million over such a vast scale. The Vedas take into account also the time zone between darkness and light, that is, say, the twilight. So, probably, science now admits, the Vedantists must have been correct. It amazes me.

Re: Aba

Exactly! The equation is, to me, in Love, when given the all, one takes or gets the all, and when one gets or takes the all, one gives the all. Much like the concept of Zero, in reverse, or the whole from the whole, remaining still the whole. No, I didn't know Zero was the gift of Vedic math, but I am glad I do now! Thank you.

Wow Presta

The gives and takes of Love is indeed Cardinal. Because, you take from what you have given, and the beauty is that it in no way impoverishes the giver but enriches, both. The equation is simply baffling in scientific terms. There is one great philosophy of Hinduism: even if you were to take out whole from the whole, the remainder is still the whole. Zero, too, is a gift of the ancient Vedic mathematics to the world.

Re: UKUSA

Well, I said 'Don't leave this earth with your words still in you' was my favorite quote. Perhaps it's the same thing... Thank you.

great and little treat!

Was it you or Kabu who advised, "Don't leave this world with a song inside you." I heard that once each from the birds, and the BIRDS, the beetles, and the Beatles.

I don't think the Beatles wrote as sweetly as this RP credit where credit is due.
