Well Justi you have been brought up with guns as a protection. I suppose we all abide by the law in our own country. I would not mind living next to you even if you had a machine gun on the porch.

I suppose most here have been brought up to the ownership of guns. I can't see much sport in shooting hundreds of pheasants or grouse, traditions die hard.

I know people have pointed something called laser pointers at planes, which could cause plane crashes...The reader cannot help but feel her sadness.

I'm thinking of those laser pointers / pens that emit a bright green
dot that we're warned can blind a pilot and shouldn't be pointed at airplanes. I've seen people use them to get cats to pounce on the spot, and kids aim them at people waiting at the bus stop to play jokes, make people think they're being targeted, but I never thought that was really funny...

I would think a blinding light is a more effective defense than pepper spray.

different cultures must respect anothers culture and if it distasteful to you, then don't go there.
I am having trouble with the hunting season here in Canada but then I think of hunting seasons in Australia and realize I am being a hypocrit. i wouldn't like to be where people carry guns for protection all the time. That is too scary for me.

Very interesting poetry. As for the gun, I approve of them. Those who carry them should be well trained in their use. They should know very well the consequence of taking another life. Lastly they have a right to protect their own.
