She was convincted for the second degree raping of one of her students back in the late 1990s. She had a six month jail sentence with three months suspended. She was caught doing the same crime again to the student and ended up serving six years in prison.
Now onto the really bizarre. She married the student in 2005.

Terrible but true..
My daughter's middle school had a male and female teacher who acted very inappropriately toward certain students. They were fired and eventually faced legal charges; not sure if they will be allowed to teach anywhere again or be involved with working with kids in any setting. I surely hope not because it seems to be something that isn't treatable or able to be punished out of a person.

I don't think a warning would stop anyone determined to flout the rules. However for the majority it would help keep them on the straight and narrow.
