I so understand your frustration! I'm having big email problems right now since my server (Bell Canada) decided no longer to support Outlook and forced me to use their own email sytem which STINKS! And Windows 10? It's horrible! I had it for a week (it literally elbowd its way into my laptop) and then got rid of it, reverting to 8.1. And on my PC I still use 7...

I went to bed last night, early, with it still not working. After a good night's sleep I awoke to it still not working. But, I dug in and did everything I could think of doing, inclouding removing all the connections from the box with blinking lights. I put it back together about a half-hour later, and my diligence paid off. At the moment, it is workig good as new.

Well can you change back, I looked at it and after a while went back to the original Windows. It depends how long you have had Windows 10. I know the feeling.

Hope by now you can get your message through to your son. I never liked Windows 10 from the minute I saw it, I don't want it, and hope they will do a W11 that reverts back some day. Glad you could get to Blogit.

It feels like corporate domination to have W10 forced; think that's what
it is, actually...
I know people who are pretty tech savvy and scream at it. Bummer about the birthday miss but glad you're able to be here.

I'm sorry you can't do the birthday thing online. They installed W10 on my computer while it was in sleep mode - even restarted it remotely to make sure the updates were permanent. I'd been refusing it and have begun to be able to wander around with it, but I still resent having it done without my consent. I hope you soon learn to navigate it for all the things you want to do.

love em and hate them. Computers. I wouldn't update to Windows 10 but still have trouble with this aging laptop.
I don't think that computers are getting easier or giving better service. I am sorry your day is being spoiled.

I have exactly the same frustrations when something goes haywire here, and I also blame W10 which I only accepted because I had to.
