Isn't it amazing how fortunate we are to have been born when we were. Although I felt on my wedding day (No 1) that one man gave me at the alter to another. Mother too felt it was her baby and yet it was Dad who gave his consent to the marriage, rode with me in the big black car, and gave me away. Mother felt like window dressing in a big hat.
