I was just reading your post here when Son #1 walked past my open-doored room so I read to him your paragraph on Navy coffee. That got him started on how awful Navy coffee was aboard ship. He always felt fortunate that as Signalman he got to spend his hours top deck with the Captain and the Masterchief and kept a pot of good Folgers going for all of them up there.

PS if the bladder had let go, I think your dispatcher friend was right. The guy was already crossing that bridge, but one has to try.

Sometimes it seems it does not pay to be too much into heavy workouts. You do meet a varied collection of folk. They must like the quick service.
