Somehow on the trail I frequent, I walked through a spider webb. Yuck.

I actually just had that happen to me also a couple of days ago, only I don't think it was a black widow. It got washed down the drain. And yes, I have killed a spider, only to have a bazillion little ones crawl around! No fun... Great post. I can relate.

she will Die if left in the jar but maybe the local science lab at the school would like her. Otherwise set her free I suppose. My spider disappeared after a heavy storm. I have no idea what happened to her.

Kind of you to relocate the lady... Perhaps there's a remote spot
in the woods where she could fulfill her destiny.

You are brave Ciel. I think she might grow hungry unless you drop a fly or two into the jar. You could ask on your local network if you have one. I don't suppose many capture a imminent family, good for research maybe.
