Re: Re: Re: Kabu

Well he keeps telling me to throw things away and I keep getting lumbered up with his stuff. I was hoping he would feel romantic and move back to his own house, but he keeps saying he wants to build one on my garden.

Designer clothes are such a waste of money, even for those who can afford them but if they are hand downs and reasonable, I'll wear em, lol. Good poem, CC, I like the construct and message of knowing.

Re: RPresta

Thank you, it did actually bring a tear to my eyes when I read it , I hope this does not mean that characters are coming alive in my mind. Yes I like my new wallet it was reduced to half price; Arthur was scornful and said I should have bought a better one, but now agrees it is as good as the more expensive one that he bought.

Re: FS.

I think it was one of Arthur's ex girl friends name, but no connection. Do you wear waterproofs? I know there are some good ones breathable.

I suppose if the jeans fit and are used, one could garden in them, rather than seeing them tossed. And yes, aluminum for your credit cards or else a new wallet. Your poem is so great! It's my favorite of all. And true? Sorta? Even better! I'd go down that poetic road to write the big one, or group of big ones, if I was you! Great job!

It has been a while since I have bought jeans...I like how there is a name to the woman in the poem.

There are those who can afford designer jeans when they first come in

style, and then toss them after one season, which gives thrifty folks a shot at the good stuff. I find myself aghast at the extreme cost of "high fashion." On the other hand, they probably think my faded old jeans and ancient baggy shirts are a disgrace. To each her own.  (Love the poem, and the little mystery in it.)

Designer jeans for gardening seems a bit much! As a matter of fact, all designer jeans are a bit much - I think I'll just stick to my Levis! But your poem - FANTASTIC! It's another one for the collection! Come on, old chap, get your act together and DO something about that, even if it means having Archie look after the beans and flowers or a day or two...
