Sage advice! The quotes are among the most powerful

1 Tim 1: 7 and Psalm 23. Thanks for the reminder that our Triune God can defeat fear, death, and satan, already defeated by Jesus on the cross, but awaiting his final condemnation to the abyss. All evil is under the feet of the saved child of God through Jesus's victory: thank George for me, too. Amen

Twice in years gone bye someone broke into our home and ransacked it and made a mess and took things.  Both times it was when no one was home.  It was a shock to find it that way after the fact, but I don't remember being afraid.  One of the times we were at evening church services when it happened.  We made adjustments to try to make our home safer.

Justi

A very interesting post, and yes, I have stared at the wrong end of a gun! Was on a freeway coming back from the Olympics one year, late at night, and a car full of guys pulled up next to us. I turned to look at it, and a person pointed pistol right at my face. Fortunately, the car sped off with the guys laughing. It wasn't until we got home that I realized what had almost happened!

Fortunately, I've not found myself in those kinds of situations.
