The full story truly is terrible. I am saddened and sickened for her. Thank you.

Re: BC-A
Thank you. I try. I feel it's like standing next to a billionare who's writing a fat check, while I throw my penny into a Salvation Army bucket.

The first version was wonderful and so is this one! And my heart and best wishes go out to that young lady, in the hope she will fully overcome the pain of that terrible experience...

Re: WileyJohn
fANTASTIC! Thank you for writing! Yes, a special kind of disgust, repulsion and revulsion for such a person is deserved, and reserved for this type of evil. Well done, Wiley. I can feel your justified outrage! We all feel that.

Re: Kabu
Oh, so true, Kabu! As women we can say that more readily and with relative ease, albeit laced heavily with something close to anger, perhaps rage. As a teen victim, this girl must stand as tall as a woman and fight a fight that shouldn't be, for her rights and respect, which also shouldn't be and that must take twice the strength. I had already conveyed everything you said, and more, to the family. Yes, whose heart could not go out this dear girl? Thank you for your comment and compliment, also. It's very much appreciated.

Re: C_C_T
Thanks, CC. I'm in agreement with you. It's only a token. Therapists, support groups, family and time may help. Thank you for your compliment.

Thank you very much. It's nice that they liked it. Succor is not always attainable but we try.

R Presta
Your poem was such a gift for women, my male translation was simple hate for the kind of man that rapes.
A Mans viewpoint!!!!
sip sweet the vile potion
of this Hateful Cup I force
your former gentle thoughts
wrapped in drops of black hatred
drink full my gift of vile pain to instill pain
within your assaulted spirit's splendor
savor long the radiant hate
beating in your angel heart
heal slowly hurts both raw and deep
as no solace reaches past your soul
then
sip again the vile potion succor
of my Hateful Cup tonight.
Thank you for writing.

when it happens to a Sisiter it happens to us all. Again women stand up for what ids our right. We have the right to meet friends and socialize without the fear of something being dropped int our drink. We have the right to walk the streets and byways. We have the right to feel safe in our home and communities. Rape is Never our fault and we always have the right to say No. he can come in his pants if he can't stop.
Wonderful rewrite of your poem dear and my heart goes out to that little girl.

Well Presta I don't know if anything could soothe the brutality of such an ordeal.
Hopefully in the recovery process words that you have poured from your heart could help to gently comfort someone who has suffered so. What else is there only time and love.
How nice to have achieved something with your beautiful poem.

Indeed, the power of a few words. Each sip (word) tastes sweet like honey, providing succour to the violated souls, Presta dear, of the loving Cup of your offering!
This is a fabulous poem so filled also with your artistic taste.
... No wonder, it baca me the gruop's pick.
