That potato project is interesting! It reminds me that my maternal grandfather, a farmer, at some point began breeding new varieties of poataoes, and apparently was quite successful at it. But I know no details...

Re: CCT,

I wonder what kinds of potatoes they are pushing. I have just cut the sprouting eyes from a bag of Yukon Gold potatoes. I might try it with those little fingerling ones, too.

There is always a big push from the seed firms to plant potatoes now and dig new ones for Christmas. We have tried it but they do not really taste like fresh new ones. I know folk have grown large crops from the system you are using. A bit of fun anyway.

Re: adnohr,

I like em better than I should, mashed up with some butter and onion soup/dip sprinkled over abundantly.

Intersting way to grow spuds. One of my favorite foods, with lotsa salt and pepper and butter. Can picture you sitting out there, waiting for the perfect moment to take a spectacular photo.

For sure, cats are all different. Some times Mr G sleeps on my head or between us but really he does it to wake us up. but he's terribly spoilt which seems that Ember is realizing that she too can have for herself.

And I have heard of growing 'tatties that way or similiar and I would like to try as well perhaps next year.

Sounds like a cool (a in neat-o) and productive way to spend the day.

A bell on a cat has always been a legend to me, I believe you're the first one I know who's actually done so. Hope your potatoes are fruitful and delicious.
