Hello Katray2
It reminds me of a Mahavir story. The Jainas do not venture out during the 4 months of the monsoon season. One of his disciples doubted his powers and thought he himself was no less than Mahavir. While journeying with his Guru just prior to the season, it started to rain and a sapling looked like about to be uprooted in the soft wet earth. He asked, tell me Sir, whether it'll live or die by the time we come back. Mahavir looked at the sapling intently for a while, closed his eyes in meditation, and replied, "It will." To prove him wrong the disciple forcefully dug out the small plant and threw it away. All but Mahavir did was to give a smile, saying nothing, and on they trekked their way. Four months later, on their way back, they saw that that very sapling had grown in healthy young tree. The disciple could not believe his eyes, and asked of his Guru as to how he could know beforehand that it'll live? Mahavir said, "I looked into its soul and found it had an intently strong desire to live". So no matter what man may do to destroy, Nature has its own mysterious ways and resilience. Your story of coming back, coincident with the incident, is a parallel Have taken a lot of space, BTW.

I also understand well that exhaustion of the heart and creativity
in the face of too much input, too little responsiveness to one's efforts, too many external forces one has no ability to touch or change... And the healing power in that one bright blossom, too. Sometimes, too, one's own body chemistry gets depressed and steals away enthusiasm and interest in the world or anything. Every time a flower blooms in my garden, it's a happy surprise!
I hope we can all here be blossoms in your garden!
