To start with, his team gave UCCS only 2 days notice they were coming. Then they sold 10,000 tickets for a venue that holds 1500. And predictably, he mocked UCCS and criticized the Fire Marshal as incompetent: all their fault, of course. The many disgruntled who were not allowed in, coming face to face with the inevitable protestors was surprisingly free of any reports of mayhem.

I can't begin to list the names I've heard for him... I think the Scots were the most creative when he congratulated them on the Brexit vote, when most of Scotland had voted to stay in the EU.

Especially in times like this when the situation seems balanced on a knife-edge, when so much is on the line because the two main contenders are so very polarized, many of us get pretty involved emotionally if not actively. In duller times, no one gets out of their chair because it doesn't seem to be about significant differences.

Well, the tribute to the fallen officer was appropriate. Colleges and
universities are probably the last bastion of free thinkers and those who live in their own reality. It would be interesting if he gave a rally and nobody cared. He thrives on the protests, might he wilt without them?
