I would love to see your gardens. Those beans sound absolutely delishous. I would cook them thus: steamed, grated garlic and butter on them. Just as I plate them I would add toasted slivered almonds.I always love your poetry, I am amazed at it. I can only write without rhyme and mostly would say without reason.

Re: I can't believe she could make do with only six beans... (shaking head)

Yes well six was how many I gave her and she seemed bemused as her son was doing her garden and staying to dinner. Glad you liked the poem Pat, it would be nice to feel the tingle in married life.

Re: RRresta

I suppos she did not want a bagful at one go and then have to ask. No they do not bother me RP. Yes the poem was one I had forgotten, I can't remember why it was written. Sad I suppose.

Arthur's spree of desinfecting his environment may be a bit absurd, but his obsession with healthy breakfasts is consistant with it and is highly laudable, LOL...And I'm sure the lady found your poem to her liking, and rewarded you appropriately...

I have heard those summer colds are worse than winter colds...Bringing to life another character, I see.

Between Archie, Arthur and the bean lady I would need a break! You poor man! The poem was gentle as an angel's touch to read. So sweet and wistful.

I do love your romance poems... They're like a feather's touch, the tingle lingers.
